Between September 18-21 2020, Shopkick, a Trax Company conducted a survey amongst its users in the US and received 17649 responses. 42% of respondents indicated that they intended to host a gathering this holiday season despite the health risks posed by the ongoing Covid19 pandemic. 60% indicated that they planned to attend a holiday gathering.
For grocery retailers and CPGs this means that 83% of shoppers are likely to spend more on groceries during this period that they normally would. With the holiday season representing a significant portion of your category yearly sales, executing a successful program is key to capturing your fair share of shopper’s spend.
