Matthew is a Senior Operations Manager responsible for the Trax App implementation and data collection. When he’s not ensuring the perfect data flow, he’s busy cross stitching for his loved ones.
Before Trax, I worked for a property management tech company as an Operations Manager. Before applying, I did some research on Trax and realized it was a completely new area. I wanted to be a part of the innovation, but what attracted me most was the culture. I came into the office and immediately wanted to be a part of it.
We’re the gatekeepers of data. I’m in charge of the data being collected and delivered on time, while being recognizable and meeting KPIs. Practically all data flows through us. Also, I’m responsible for the global implementation of the Trax App features, which is a huge deal to me.
In November 2019 we had an event called ‘Trax Care Day’ when we went to rainbow villages that help single mothers who are victims of domestic abuse. It made me feel so wholesome, not only enjoying each other’s company, but a deeper level of community service. It was a perfect day. I did something useful with people I love while helping others.
I enjoy problem solving because there is always something to be improved. They say, “Don’t reinvent the wheel”, but I say, “There is always room for improvement!” The concept of flying cars also comes from the wheel. Trax empowers us to learn new things all the time. The ability to troubleshoot and think of new solutions to old problems is what keeps me here. If you’re not learning, you’re dying.
Cross-stitching I enjoy more than anything. It’s so calming and relaxing to be able to stich for hours, listen to a podcast or watch some TV. “Idle hands do the devil’s work” as my mother used to say. A product with 20,000 stiches is something to be proud of. I always give them away as presents because people appreciate the hard work in it. It’s all about giving my time to make someone’s day better, to have an impact. Also, it keeps me calm while watching Real Housewives!
I don’t know if there’s one definition of a Traxer. The beauty of the company is in its diversity, the different shapes, colors, sizes and background people have here. Trax brings people together and creates something for the future. We have one thing in common, though – with our shared high performance, we create a better product.
