How Trax can support Scan-Based Trading brands

Under Scan-Based Trading (SBT), where sales are recorded only when SKUs are scanned at the register, brands must effectively manage inventory to prevent lost sales and ensure proper stock levels. Key actions needed are timely restocking, accurate inventory distribution and real-time data.

Trax can support SBT with our unique combination of technology, an agile merchandising field force and fast data analytics platform. Trax offers real-time front and backroom data for brands, enabling detailed and timely insights into store performance. Its flexible model allows for tailored store visits based on specific needs, accommodating complex requirements for each store, retailer and region.

The Solution

Militti Sales, a leading accessories provider with products like sunglasses, scarves and handbags, partnered with Trax. They initially tested Trax’s merchandising visits at 600 CVS stores and quickly recognized the value of restocking, visibility, and real-time data. As a result, Militti Sales decided to expand the collaboration into an ongoing program, incorporating additional retailers and customizing the visit frequency for each store and retailer.

Over time, Militti Sales has set clear expectations and established effective communication with Trax. This collaboration has led to 24 separate projects managing over 5,000 SKUs across eight retailers with weekly, monthly, quarterly visits, and everything in-between.

Conclusion

Trax can support SBT models and intense restocking and packout projects in various retail channels, like drug store, grocery, big box and c-store. We have the ability to adjust the stores’ targeted, the frequency, and time in store based on our clients objectives utilizing our dedicated field force team, and technology.

Moreover, our real-time dashboard analytics provide the much-needed visibility for every store and every visit, so brands can monitor inventory restocked, and on hand.
