Urban DSD Sales Director

US · Full-time · Experienced

About The Position

Trax Retail is continuing to grow and now is the ideal time to join our employee-focused company! 

The National Sales/DSD Manager will be responsible for increasing Trax Retail portfolio of clients in the natural food and beverage industry. Strong sales techniques are needed to leverage existing industry relationships to source new customer opportunities. This will be a Hybrid position.

Experience with brokers, distributors, and/or merchandising agencies is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets

• Define sales strategies for targeted Emerging Brands clients looking for In-store execution and Data

• Define strategies for selling solutions directly into a targeted group of North American CPG companies (new logos) focused on Emerging & Midcap CPGs

• Own the full sales cycle from lead through close by initiating, evaluating, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities while building a pipeline of leads throughout the sales cycle.

• Leverage existing industry relationships to source new customer opportunities.

• Utilize email campaigns, calling and e-mailing to set up presentations, and convert leads into clients

• Drive pipeline generation through direct selling efforts and through a partnership with Brand Manager account management team.

• Maintain a high-quality communication with accurate data in the company’s CRM system

• Attend trade shows and conferences to connect with future clients/leads


Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree is preferred

• 5 years as a sales leader driving meaningful revenue in the CPG sales agency/broker sector

• Experience on selling retail execution/merchandising Emerging brands is preferred

• Familiarity with operational, financial and quality assurance procedures and regulations is a must.

• Communicate clearly and often.

• Must have analytical analysis skills.

• Must be able to plan strategies and future operation goals effectively
