NRF Europe’s Innovators Showcase isn’t just any retail technology event. It is a prestigious, invite-only gathering that serves as a launchpad for the most groundbreaking retail innovations. This exclusive platform attracts the best in the industry, from forward-thinking brands to cutting-edge solution providers. And this year, Trax was honored to be a part of the action, showcasing how our advanced AI and real-time augmented reality solutions are helping retailers and brands make smarter, faster decisions at the store level.  

The showcase wasn’t just about sharing ideas; it was about bringing them to life.  

 

The Traxmart Booth: Innovation in Action 

We took the immersive approach, inviting attendees into our dynamic Traxmart booth. Designed to resemble a store front, this setup was more than just eye-catching; it created an experience for brands to test firsthand how our Image Recognition (IR) solutions could better support their retail execution needs.

On-Device IR was a key highlight of the demo experience, which allows brands to capture and analyze shelf-level data directly on a mobile device, bypassing the need for video or photo uploads and even operating seamlessly without an internet connection. With augmented reality (AR) capturing capabilities, the process is incredibly fast and delivers actionable insights with clear accuracy.

The shelves in our grocery environment featured a variety of products from leading consumer goods companies, including Beiersdorf, DIAGEO, Lipton, and PepsiCo. This realistic setup allowed attendees to see our technology in action under real-world conditions with lighting, glares, movement, shelf heights, etc. And to pull the full experience together, the booth had an element of gamification where attendees could ‘race’ to have their shelf scan and results complete before their cup of coffee was ready. The specialty coffee was a hit with attendees grabbing their favorite brew throughout the day and attempting to ‘beat’ our Image Recognition capture and results. Trax’s IR consistently delivered insights in real time; proving that the future of retail doesn’t wait for anyone, not even your coffee.

Attendees from brands like Pernod Ricard, Haleon, Louis Vuitton, Nespresso, and Danone got hands-on with the solution. They experienced firsthand how Trax empowers brands to quickly access real-time shelf data to optimize operations. The Traxmart booth wasn’t just a demonstration; it was a testament to how technology and creativity can merge to create powerful solutions that elevate the retail experience. 

 

Retail in 2026 

Beyond the hands-on experience at the Traxmart booth, we took the stage to dive deep into the future of retail during our thought leadership session, Retail in 2026: Turning Trends into Growth Opportunities. Led by Trax experts Leonie Frenkel, Senior Sales Director, and Gergő Kujbus, Director, Product Management and moderated by our Chief Marketing Officer, Brittany Billings, this session offered attendees a forward-looking perspective on the trends shaping the industry and the challenges retailers face in today’s complex market. 

The discussion centered around emerging consumer behaviors and how they’re reshaping retail operations. With shoppers increasingly expecting convenience, immediacy, and personalization, the need for smarter, more agile solutions is more critical than ever. Leonie and Gergő explored how retailers can stay ahead by adopting technologies that enhance operational efficiency and improve the in-store experience. 

One key takeaway was the importance of using real-time data to optimize shelf execution. By understanding the shelf environment in real time, brands can make better decisions faster, ensuring that the right products are always available at the right time. The session also emphasized the role of AI in predicting shopper behaviors and enabling retailers to respond proactively to market changes.
