Full Stack Engineer

Budapest · Full-time · Experienced

About The Position

For a fast paced, large scale data acquisition project, we’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer who will make major contributions in adding data sources, maintaining existing code, and improving the underlying frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the data acquisition pipeline for certain data sources
  • Keep the pipeline up to date and performant, adapting it to changes in the environment
  • Build pipelines for new data sources
  • Work on improvements to our data acquisition framework
  • Find and fix bugs, some of them hard to figure out

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years commercial programming experience in working with JavaScript
  • At least 6 months experience with Node.js
  • Familiarity with HTML markup, CSS selectors / XPath
  • Flexibility for occasional evening meeting with colleagues from the US west coast (once/twice a week)

What your day could look like:

  • Check in with your team to share status, priorities, and obstacles
  • Investigate a problem in the production system (e.g. to figure out if it was caused by a bug or by a change in a source system)
  • Write code (including tests) to fix an issue, or to support a new data source
  • Monitor how code you have written is performing in pre-production/production environments
  • Occasionally participate in meetings with CTO and product teams to discuss new capabilities and priorities
