Social Media Manager

Shopkick is on a mission to bring delight and reward to the consumer shopping experience. As part of the Trax Retail family, we are a unicorn looking to accelerate our growth trajectory as we partner with major brands and retailers, ranging from Ulta Beauty and Unilever to Best Buy and Purina, to transform the way people engage with stores and products, both online and in the physical world. 


Our social media manager will oversee all social media pages across multiple platforms—expanding our digital presence, developing new strategies, and monitoring our online success through KPIs. Our ideal candidate is a great collaborator and self-starter who has experience running campaigns with a dynamic team across departments. 


Responsibilities: Here are general requirements you’ll complete as our social media manager, among other things. 

  • Forge a strong knowledge of CPG/shopper marketing news and social media trends 
  • Explore new marketing channels, platforms and networks, specifically social and influencer channels 
  • Proactively identify and evaluate innovative opportunities for campaign growth and improvement to increase our user growth and partner campaign performance 
  • Partner with marketing and design teams to develop a consistent brand across all social platforms 
  • Manage a content calendar in collaboration with design and marketing teams to incorporate original, fresh, and engaging content 
  • Oversee design of original posts, tweets, and pins according to the content calendar in collaboration with the design team 
  • Communicate metrics progress to stakeholders and relevant teams 
  • Identify potential pitfalls in social strategy or content and adjust future plans accordingly 
  • Build relationships with followers through daily community management via comments, retweets, likes, and more 
  • Develop, present and execute social marketing campaigns for our partners and Shopkick channels including briefing campaigns, copywriting, messaging setup, and conversion tracking 
  • Collect key data points in collaboration with all marketing disciplines to manage reporting for user growth and retention optimization 
  • Analyze complex data into meaningful conclusions that can be turned into actionable decisions 
  • Frequently monitor results and optimize campaigns to ensure business objectives are achieved 
  • Manage one social media associate 
  • Contract with vendors, influencers, and management companies 
  • Build and manage a budget with aggressive ROI targets 
  • Act as a company liaison at industry and partner events, as well as online, showcasing the utmost professionalism and business ethics 
  • Foster great teamwork and taking pride in building a world-class platform and team that makes a difference in people's lives 




  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, mass communications, or public relations 
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated success managing social media platforms or relevant content marketing experience 
  • Experienced with Google Analytics, Facebook Publisher Hootsuite, and Sprout Social (we are currently using Sprout Social) 
  • Bonus if you also have experience with AppsFlyer and Canva 
  • Strong time management and organization skills 
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube 
  • Must be creative with an eye for detail 
  • Must be a strong storyteller to distinguish from the competition 
  • You have strong strategic planning skills and can assess market opportunities quickly and accurately 
  • You build trust quickly and can lead by influence 
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team to drive positive business outcomes 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
