Director of Business Applications

Tel Aviv · Full-time · Management

About The Position

Trax is looking Director of Business Applications that will be responsible for managing a business application team towards solving complex business problems using analytical, technical, and business skills. The Global Information Systems Director will report to VP of IT and Security.

This position will lead and manage a global business applications group by setting vision, strategy, and direction while creating strategic business partnerships with all departments, to establish high-end platforms and applications.

Responsibilities

What to expect In this role (How your day to day will look like):      

  • Responsible for prioritization and assignment of tasks to team members for timely and effective completion as required by the business.
  • Lead and be responsible for multiple business applications and organizational processes in a variety of technologies.
  • Develop a long-term team strategy for Information system foundation (infrastructure and architecture).
  • Create strategic partnerships and collaboration with departmental leaders across the company to understand their issues, challenges, and opportunities. Become trusted advisor to the leadership team and other Trax functions, provides essential business support while keeping on information system strategy.
  • Develop metrics for business applications team effectiveness and impact on the organization.
  • Establish and monitor service levels, both internally and with IS contractors.
  • Maintain oversight of business applications portfolio, ensuring commitments are planned, staffed, monitored, and reported. while delivering with high quality, within timelines, customer satisfaction and results.
  • Review, recommend and oversee vendors and managed service agreements for computing, services, and equipment.
  • Hire, develop, evaluate, reward, and retain a highly qualified team of professionals. Coaches and mentors both direct / indirect reports, and attract, develop, and retain talent. Creates an engaging environment, sets, and guides individual goals, performance objectives and growth opportunities of his/her team.
  • Support and serve as a gatekeeper for the organization business application architecture.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as Head of Business Applications / Information Systems in growing global Hi-tech companies.
  • Vast experience of at least 10 years in information systems and in different business application domains (ERP, CRM, ALM, Sales, HR, etc.)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse business leaders
  • Strong design capabilities with the ability to define and lead the solution in a complex, challenging environment
  • Demonstrated experience with SaaS, cloud-based and outsourced solutions through third party providers.
  • Proven experience in leading transformational programs
  • Thorough understanding and familiarity of the IT application domain & business processes
  • Experience in mergers & acquisitions –An advantage

Education

  • BS in Science/IT/Computers, or equivalent experience
