We are seeking a CPG experienced Data Analyst located in Chicago, IL. This position ensures the quality and integrity of all Trax data reporting, analytics, and insights delivered back to a strategic CPG Client. Our client is a market leader and continues to innovate in an extremely dynamic retail marketplace, while leveraging Trax data assets to drive their brand strategy. The Data Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of data back to the client and will leverage multiple Trax products to drive insights in brand and category performance.
Aggregate and synthesize Nielsen Sales Data and Trax Recognition Data to develop and deliver insights into market dynamics
Provide excel-based reporting back to client, aggregated data from two separate data bases
Partner with multiple Trax teams to ensure seamless turnaround, data delivery, and trend narration (and explanation of any swings in the marketplace)
Quickly turn around ad-hoc reporting requests from data sets based on Client needs
Provide guidance to client on how to actionize data
Simplify complex data sets into digestible insights (be an “interpreter” that translates what our Customer needs from the data assets Trax has)
Create and maintain strong relationship with key Customer stakeholders
1-5 years of experience in Data Analytics is a must
1-5 years CPG and/or Grocery Retail experience required (incl. Nielsen, IRI or other market research providers working with CPG and Retail data)
Must be Experienced with Microsoft Excel and Power Point (fluent in data extraction and narration)
Experienced with Power BI Reporting tools is preferred
Have the ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines
Team player, with proven ability of working in a dynamic environment
Customer-centric, strong communicator (written and verbal)
Analytic approach and thinking outside of the box
